Were you a winner in my book giveaway?

Hello!

The countdown to Christmas has begun in earnest and I for one can't believe the big day is just over a week away.

It's been a crazy few weeks since the launch of my fourth domestic thriller, The Promise You Made, and I am SO behind on my lengthy Christmas To Do list.

But we did manage to put the tree up last weekend, so at least the house is looking festive.

One of our neighbours grows and sells trees for charity and it was great to be able to wander up the lane, choose the perfect tree and carry it home again.

Although I did leave the carrying bit to Adrian and our youngest son, Thomas!

Bookwise, it's been an exciting couple of weeks. No One I Knew was featured in a Kindle Daily Deal in the UK at the end of November and it stormed up the UK Kindle charts to No 29, which is an all-time record for me. To say I was chuffed is an understatement. 😊

And today I had the fantastic news that Amazon has picked the book for a US Kindle Daily Deal on Saturday, January 8, when the book will be just 99c. I'll send a reminder nearer the time!

In other book news, I was delighted to sign contracts with the UK's leading audiobook publisher, WF Howes, for the audio rights of The Promise You Made.

WF Howes has done an amazing job recording and producing the audiobooks of both No One I Knew and Should Have Known Better, and I can't wait to hear how the team brings Rose's story to life.

I also had the pleasure of receiving an early review copy of my friend and fellow thriller writer AJ Campbell's new book, Search No Further.

In this twisty tale we are given a glimpse into the tangled world of the De Rosa family, headed by Italian matriarch and tour de force Cara De Rosa.

The story begins when Cara collapses at a family party. Everyone assumes she’s had a heart attack. Everyone except Cara, who believes she’s been poisoned.

As her condition worsens, Cara shares her suspicions with her granddaughter, Sienna. And when Sienna makes it her mission to discover who wanted her beloved Nonna dead she quickly realises her family has more than its fair share of skeletons in the closet.

The book has a large cast of characters and as the story unfolds it is clear that any one of them could have their reasons for killing Cara.

Like Sienna, I found myself second-guessing them all, but at three-quarters of the way through the book, I thought I had it sussed.

I was wrong.

If you like fast-paced thrillers with believable characters, murky family secrets and a twist at every turn, you will love Search No Further. It’s a belter of a read!

You can check it out here. The book is FREE to read if you have Kindle Unlimited.

Thank you to everyone who took part in my giveaway for a signed paperback copy of The Promise You Made. I was overwhelmed by the response.

First out of the hat was Jenny Spalding from Arbroath in Scotland. Congratulations, Jenny, I hope you enjoy it!

If you weren't lucky enough to win this time you can find The Promise You Made here.

And stick around, I have lots more giveaways planned for 2022. Just watch this space!

Which leads me to say a big thank you to you all for your friendship and support over the past year.

Writing stories is a funny old business to be in. One thing's for sure, it's made so much more fun by you guys. I appreciate each and every email and review so much!

Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year. I hope that wherever you are in the world, you are able to spend the festive season with loved ones. Failing that, a bloody good book!

See you in 2022.
