Life update: In which I'm gearing up for Launch Day

Hello!

There may be twelve sleeps till Christmas, but I'm more excited about the fact that there are now only FOUR more sleeps till the launch of The Invite!

I'm so excited about the release of this book, more so than my other four thrillers. I'm not sure why. Perhaps it's because the early reviews have been so fantastic.

The lovely book blogging community on Instagram have had some amazing things to say about The Invite:

  • Wow, what a brilliant book! Really enjoyed this one. The suspense, the mystery! I was kept guessing until the very end.

  • A good twisty tale that had me wrong-footed more than once. Plenty of suspense and intrigue.

  • Just when you thought the nightmare was over you were left with one last final shock twist! It's a brilliant read... I loved it.

  • There were some really fantastic twists in this that I didn’t see coming... it’s definitely a nail biting read that got my adrenaline pumping.

Although Saturday 17 December is Launch Day, The Invite is available to pre-order now at the special launch price of 99p/99c.

And for anyone who prefers the feel of a real book in their hands, the paperback was released today. Just click here if you'd like to check either the ebook or paperback out.

If you're in the US or Canada and are on Goodreads, I'm holding a book giveaway for The Invite and one hundred copies of the ebook are up for grabs!

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is to head over to Goodreads, find my book on the Giveaway page and enter. The giveaway ends on Friday 30 December.

In other news, Adrian and I met up with our fellow psych thriller author friends Carrie Magillen and AJ Campbell and AJ's husband Andy in London last week.

When you stay at home and write books for a living, you don't get to have a traditional office party, so we decided to organise our own...

As you can imagine, much book talk was had, and we had such a great time we're definitely going to make it an annual event.

And this weekend we went to collect our Christmas tree... from up the lane!

We are lucky that one of our neighbours grows and sells Christmas trees to raise money for a whole host of different charities, some local, some national.

We had great fun picking out our tree back in October, and on Saturday we walked up to collect it. It's now looking very festive in the corner of our lounge and Amber the kitten is mesmerised!

So that's all from me for now. Don't forget to take advantage of the launch price for The Invite, and I'll be back in touch on Saturday to let you know when the book is live.

Happy reading!

Amanda
